Zsofia is a Certified Personal Trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine, a Certified Functional Movement Coach for professional athletes, and a Master Yoga teacher with over 5,000 hours of classes taught. She is a Health and Wellness Consultant for Qualcomm Inc, and she runs her own Corporate Wellness Company.
Growing up in Hungary, Zsofia excelled in athletics, she was recruited at a young age to join a professional sprint kayaking team in Budapest. In 2002, she was a bronze medalist in the k1 2000m sprint at the European Championships in Szeged, Hungary. In 2005, Z moved to the United States and discovered yoga, finding major benefits as she incorporated this practice into her athletic training. She developed a passion for helping others work toward their optimal health and wellness, she transformed that passion into her career.
Whether she is mentoring professional athletes, leading a Yoga Teacher Training Program, private clients, or participants in studio classes, she believes in working through challenges step by step, helping people gain an understanding of how a person can progress to the next level. She offers creative guidance so that students and clients can go on their own journey. Fostering an optimistic point of view, she loves providing new revelations and she is always interested in what students can learn about themselves.
In her classes, Z holds space for what students want and need, offering options so they can work safely, pushing their limits as they discover what works best for them. “It’s an hour of “you time” that brings physical and mental growth, feeling is understanding.”
For Z, health and wellness is a puzzle with different pieces for each person. With her advanced knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and human behavioral science, she guides each person to find the pieces of their own puzzle. She believes that if people show up with an open heart and mind, they can make great progress, as long as they are trying, they will grow.
When leading a Yoga Teacher Training program, Z believes in working through challenges step by step. For many, it’s about gaining strength and flexibility as they develop their own yoga practice. For others, it includes practicing public speaking skills in addition to expanding their knowledge of self-discipline so they can confidently lead a class if they chose, sometimes it’s simply a thirst for mental and philosophical growth. Whatever their goals, Z helps her students lean in. With her positive point of view she guides them toward new revelations and new perspectives of yoga and the world. She believes that if people show up with curiosity, they can make great progress and as long as they are trying, they will grow.
Fun Fact about Z: She is certified in Reiki Energy Healing, loves to read horoscopes, and will take any chance to get weird with you.
